Personality: quiet, reserved, not-quite-introverted. That is most people's first impressions of him. Once he gets to know them, however, he 'opens up' more...perhaps a bit too much.

Personal family history: father - Major Tyr Akkad(Bajoran Militia, Security); mother - Vice Admiral Tyr Sheris(Commanding Officer, USS Kai Opaka); sister - Vedek Tyr Alynna(Vedek Assembly); brother - Commander Tyr Kiran(first officer USS Vienna-B)

Prior to his military record, Tyr spent his entire life fighting to rid his homeworld of the Cardassian presence. It was here that he learned to speak the language of his people's greatest enemy, the Cardassians. After enlisting into the Bajoran Militia, he volunteered for he Officer Exchange Program with the Federation Starfleet. Starfleet assigned Tyr to the experimental Starfleet/Klingon ship, the IKC Horizon-B.

Interests: He is most at ease when he is able to tinker with alien(non-Federation) technology.
