IKC Horizon - B

Mission Statement

The IKC Horizon-B is a Klingon Vorcha' class Cruiser. It was originally christened IKC Shadow Warrior (Translation to Federation Standard), but with the diplomatic disaster above the planet Vulcan the need to solidify the alliance between the Federation and the Klingon Empire became critical. On both sides of the alliance, strong factions were moving for the disavowel of the alliance.

  The Horizon-B is an attempt to strengthen this weakening bond. Before the   incident, there had been negotiations between the Federation and the Klingon  Empire, for a ship to be jointly crewed by both Federation and Klingon forces.

  The negotiations had came to a standstill, then what has become known as,   "The Horizon Incident," occured. A rogue Klingon warship destroyed the   Federation Starship, the Horizon-A over the planet Vulcan. The diplomates   quickly hammered out a compromise. The IKC Horizon-B is Captained by a   Klingon commander, with a Federation First Officer. The ship has both  Federation and Klingon Defense Forces making up its crew compliment. Within  the ship, Klingon Law rules; however, the ship's orders come from Starfleet, as   part of the Rising Phoenix Fleet. Federation Ranks are used, and the ship's   actions are subject to review by Starfleet. The IKC Horizon-B is in essence a   physical representation of the union between the Klingon Empire and the Federation.
