History
  Born to Mary and Johan Carnegie on Earth, in the year 2362. She was raised amongst familiar people and was surrounded with a 5 generation lineage of space faring family members; all of which are or have served in Starfleet.
At the age of 18, her father made certain she made it into the Academy, and there she thrived like all of the rest of her family had. This is where Nigel Gholston, and Leslie first met each other at a small French bistro in San Francisco, they had the same Calculus course, and didn’t realize they had sat very close to each other. They began to share notes, and became good friends.
Aran Jax, previously known as Aran Trolis, and Leslie had known each other from their grade school years, but when they met back up at the Academy, he had already been joined with a symbiont. A friend that she had seen as a mentor, and an inspiration to her aspirations to be a great engineer; a woman by the name of Annal Jax.
At first when they saw each other, the Aran felt oddly, but she recognized his facial expression of endearment. This caused them to have to separate for several months due to the death of her friend being recent.
Andrew McClellan was already a second year student at Starfleet Medical Academy, and was already helping at the medical station at the academy. This is where Leslie and McClellan met. She had been in there several times for injuries related to her extreme hobbies, and he eventually got the nerve to invite her to a group gathering. Unknowingly, the group turned out to include Jax and Gholsten.
Jax, Gholston, McClellan, and Carnegie became great friends, so when they were all assigned to the same ship, they didn’t care that it was in a sector of space not known.
She and her friends were assigned to the USS Spirit, when a request for replacement personnel was filed.
