Features:
Despite her slight build and innocent face, Keri isn’t the easy target she appears to be. Her Starfleet Academy training has assured that she can hold her own against almost any opponent. Her black eyes seem to look into the souls of any person she encounters, making it difficult for some to look her in the eyes. Her hair, dark and curly, touches her lower back when she’s not on duty, and can wear it down.
She looks exactly like her twin sister, Tarina, which causes some confusion when the two are together. However, Keri has a long scar on her left calf. She hurt herself playing a game with some older children, and hid the injury from her parents until it healed, at which time, a scar was left. Though medical technology could easily remove it, she doesn’t mind having this little difference from her sister..
Family: Father - James Bacaus, Captain, USS Maximilian
Mother - Cmdr Larienna Bacaus, CMO USS Maximilian
Brother - Robert Bacaus, Captain, USS Gawain
Hobbies: Dancing, Active Sports, including swimming, hiking, and horseback riding, Cooking (mainly Terran and Betazoid cuisine)
Personality:
Keri is very out going and outspoken. The later got her in trouble numerous times at the academy, always just short of a formal reprimand. She is aggressive, but easily embarrassed, as evidenced by the constant pink blush on her face. Growing up in a family of Starfleet officers, she learned discipline, but often forgets that when angry.
She is an excellent judge of character, which makes her appear standoffish until she gets to know a person. Her major downfall is that she can’t turn down a dare. This has gotten her into trouble more times than she cares to remember. Keri is classified as a hopeless romantic, and hopes one day to marry and have a perfect family, as she feels she has. Her outgoing nature makes her appear several years younger than she actually is, but it draws people to her, just the same. She is also a very affectionate person and a good listener
Dislikes: Klingon cuisine, Ferengi of all shapes and sizes, Romulan Ale, most other alcoholic beverages, people who harm children and innocent people
Quote to live by: "No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main."
History

Until leaving home to attend the Betazed College of Psychology, Kerina lived with her parents, Larienna and James Bacaus, brother Robert, and twin sister Tarina. Her early life was uneventful, as the youngest child, she was treated like a baby for many years, and still resents that somewhat. Even now, Tarina calls her "little sister" though they are only five minutes apart in age.
The Bacaus sisters were inseparable for the first eight years of their lives, at which time they developed their own interests. Kerina preferred active sports and rarely slowed down, while Tarina was content to stay at home and read a book. It was around this time that the girls firs started speaking telepathically to one another.
Normally, Betazoids do not develop telepathic or empathic capabilities until their teens. However, identical twins often experience telepathy several years before this, but only with each other. When they were twelve, Tarina developed the ability to speak to the rest of the family mentally, which upset Kerina, who didn’t develop this ability for another year. By the time they were fourteen, however, both girls had developed advanced telepathy.
Tarina is the stronger telepath, but Kerina prefers her increased empathy. At sixteen, both girls finished their basic schooling and went on to study at the Betazoid College of Psychology for two years, at which time they applied, and were accepted to, Starfleet Academy.
